Lady Angler Amanda Petticrew-Musolino

Amanda’s grandfather, Richard Petticrew Senior, began fishing the waters around the Florida Keys in the late 50’s, before commercial fishing licenses were even implemented. He was one of the first to apply for licensure in the Gulf of America and South Atlantic side. At 12, Amanda began fishing with her grandfather, whom everyone knew as the cranky old man nicknamed Porky. Her job on the boat was to make sure the chum bag was always full, and the hooks were always baited. She WAS NOT allowed to tie hooks or swivels because they always came undone. It was finally discovered in high school that she needed glasses for terrible astigmatism and now she ties the best knots around.
Amanda took over fishing the licenses in 2010 at the request of her father. She does a lot of behind the scenes paperwork, auditing the catch logs, attending meetings and making comments, and continuing with all required dehooking certification courses for by-catch. She took a stand on the IFQ pilot program in the South Atlantic and she is very vocal about declining fish populations like hogfish, and overabundance of Goliath Groupers and inshore shark species.
Her spare time is taken up caring for her rescued working dogs, which sometimes can be seen on the boat with her.

Lady Angler Anabelle Grace Musolino

Anabelle “Belles” Grace was practically born on the water. Her first boat ride was at 4 months old and she began hauling in one pound tails at the age of 5. She is a certified open water scuba diver. On land, she is an avid trail and marathon runner and is always with her dog, Scarlett O’Hara, a German Dutch Shepherd.
